Dr. Yuxin Mei has dedicated over three decades to teaching pipa music and mentoring students from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China, to college students in the United States. Her students have won first place at the International Chinese Instrument Performance Competition in Hong Kong, and Dr. Mei received the Outstanding Teaching Award.

Dr. Mei's teaching philosophy aims to introduce pipa performance techniques, enhance performance competence, and enrich the cultural knowledge of pipa and Chinese music lovers.
